What do I need to provide?

A chair without arms, a power point within reach of it, and somewhere to stand a trolley. For anything involving water we need a basin, either a bathroom or kitchen one, or you can ask us to bring the portable basin at no extra cost. Hard flooring is easier than carpet, and we lay a drop sheet either way.

How long does an appointment take?

A cut and finish is around 75 minutes, a blow dry 45, a balayage three hours and a full head of foils close to three. Every service page lists its own duration. We add ten minutes at the start for set up and ten at the end to pack down, and those are ours, not yours.

Do I need to sort out parking?

Accepted Answer

Not unless you want to. If you have a driveway or a visitor permit, tell us when you book and it makes the start smoother. Otherwise we allow ten minutes to find a legal spot. Metered parking and tolls are passed on at cost and shown on your quote before you agree to it, never added afterwards.

What if I have no basin or limited power?

We carry a portable basin and can wash your hair over a bath, a laundry tub or a kitchen sink. We need one working power point for the dryer and iron. If you are in a building where the power is on a key card, leave it in.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Accepted Answer

Cancel or move an appointment more than 48 hours ahead and there is no charge. Inside 48 hours, half the service price is payable. Inside 12 hours, or if nobody is home when we arrive, the full price is payable. The full terms are on the cancellation policy page and are shown to you before you pay anything.

Do you take a deposit?

For appointments under $200 there is no deposit. Above that, and for all bridal and group bookings, we hold a 30 percent deposit that comes off the final invoice. The deposit is refundable up to 48 hours before the appointment, and for bridal work up to 30 days before the date.

Why do I need a patch test for colour?

Accepted Answer

Because a reaction to colour can be serious, and past appointments without one prove nothing about the next. Any service using permanent colour, lightener, toner or lash and brow tint needs a patch test at least 48 hours before, and we will not proceed without it. It takes two minutes and can be done at a separate short visit or by a kit we drop off.

Can you do a group at one address?

Yes, and it is usually cheaper than booking separately because travel is charged once per visit rather than per person. Three or more people at one address is treated as a group booking, which means a deposit, a run sheet with per person times, and sometimes a second stylist.

How does payment work?

Accepted Answer

You pay at the end of the appointment by card or bank transfer, on the quoted price. We do not take cash. Every visit gets a tax invoice by email showing the GST component. All prices on this site include GST at 10 percent.
